Les Roches, a co-educational school offering higher education programs in English to students who have successfully completed a full secondary school program has begun operations in Georgia.
The school, which is among the top three hospitality management schools globally, will offer its program to students from Georgia and neighboring countries at the Business and Technology University based in Tbilisi.
Les Roches decided to enter the Georgian market with the support of the Georgian National Tourism Administration and the UN World Tourism Organisation.
As PM Giorgi Kvirikashvili said at the presentation of the new programmes by Les Roches, the decision by the globally recognised school to enter in Georgia during a time of both achievements and challenges in the tourism sector of the country is very important.
"A local work force will be trained and they will be able to become competitive on a global level,” PM Kvirikashvili said adding that now is the time when Georgia should place special importance on quality service.
"In high class hotels we have foreign managers and of course I appreciate them, however it is also very important to train locals and help them become high level managers as well,” Kvirikashvili added.
The training course offered by Les Roches in Georgia is called The Hotel Management Program for Executives and is followed by a diploma. The program is meant for medium and high level managers employed in the tourism sector.
