The 2018 budget for Tbilisi City Hall is about 880 million GEL, 60 million GEL more than was planned initially.

The decision was made today after meeting between Georgia’s new Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze and recently appointed Finance Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze.

The officials agreed it was necessary to allocate an additional 60 million GEL for the capital of Georgia in order to implement all the projects that were promised during the pre-election campaign of Kakha Kaladze.

The 2018 budget for Tbilisi will be 60 million GEL more in order to implement all projects and this will be very important for the city. This money will be spent on specific projects such as the rehabilitation of Tbilisi Metro that includes rehabilitation of the stations as well as the wagons. Also, rehabilitation of old Tbilisi districts are planned as well”, said Kaladze.
I am happy that by 2018 our capital city will be very different as we are starting the implementation of the projects that we announced during our pre-election campaign,” he added.
