Georgia has become one of the most open, stable and reliable countries on the international arena following its successful reforms, says the Brazilian foreign minister.
Minister Aloysio Nunes Ferreira is paying an official visit to Georgia on November 15-16. The visit has been referred to as historic as it is the first ever visit of a Brazilian foreign minister to Georgia.
Nunes talked highly of the Gregorian reforms and the country’s business potential standing beside his Georgian counterpart Mikheil Janelidze at a press conference in Tbilisi this morning.
He said that Brazil is closely following what’s happening in Georgia and among the reforms undertaken in the country, he finds the development of electronic services most interesting.

Nunes also talked about the importance of intensifying trade-economic relations with Georgia.
"Georgia is one of the top partners of Brazil in the Caucasus region”, he said, adding that he is working actively to organise a trip of a Brazilian business delegation to Georgia to explore investment opportunities.
Prior to the press conference, Janelidze and Nunes signed a deal about cooperation in tourism. Janelidze said that despite "an enormous geographical distance”, the two countries have great potential for cooperation in this direction.

"Special thanks to the minister for the role he plays in demonstrating the importance of Georgia and raise the country’s problems on the international arena”, Margvelashvili said.
Earlier in his career, Nunes served as head of the Georgia-Brazil friendship parliamentary group.
Before wrapping up his visit later today, Nunes is scheduled to meet with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
