Georgia was one of dozens of nations at the 11th Annual Charity Fair in Brazil's capital Brasilia on Tuesday, where diplomats and local parliament members joined forces in an effort to raise money for the country's socially underprivileged.

Organised by the Federal District Municipality and spouses of diplomatic corps members in Brazil, the occasion was held at the Mane Garrincha National Stadium and featured products from Brazil and all over the world.

The Georgian Embassy in Brazil set up a stall at the fair promoting Georgian wine and souvenirs. The delegation also led presentations about the country's tourism and culture.

The Annual Charity Fair’s official opening was held on Monday and attended by Federal District Governor Rodrigo Rollemberg, Brazilian Members of Parliament, foreign diplomats and guests.

Proceeds from the annual fair will be donated to a fund to help young cancer patients, orphanages and other socially vulnerable organisations.

Georgia took part in last year’s Annual Charity Fair in Brazil, which raised funds for a several charity projects.
