A fire erupted over about 0.5 hectares of forest lands on a mountain in Georgia’s Samtskhe-Javakheti region, the National Forest Agency reports.
The helicopter firefighters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will participate in the fire-rescue operation.
Local Governor Dimitri Kipiani said as the fire has started in a difficult section of the forest, it will take much more time and effort for the rescuers to extinguish.
So far the cause of the fire is unknown, however locals say it may be high temperature or negligence.
