5,000 visited Georgia’s solo exhibition at Bordeaux museum

More than 5,000 people have visited Georgia’s solo exhibition that showcases its traditional winemaking and viticulture at one of the most famous wine venues in Bordeaux, France.

Among the visitors of the exhibition was Minister of Agriculture of France, Stéphane Travert, who saw about 125 archaeological exhibits, items of ethnographic significance, artwork and other material that illustrate the 8,000 years of Georgia’s viticulture.

After seeing the display ‘Georgia, Cradle of Viticulture’ Travert said it was a discovery for him that Georgia was the cradle of viticulture and promised to certainly visit the country.

The Bordeaux Centre for Wine and Civilisations will host the solo exhibition of Georgia, which was opened on July 31, for four months.

This is the first time that the Bordeaux Centre for Wine and Civilisations is holding a wine civilisation exhibition where Georgia is invited to be a host of the event as a country known as the cradle of wine.
