President calls Pence’s visit a ‘key event’ with journalists of influential media

Georgia’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili met journalists from influential international media accredited in Georgia today, when he spoke about the importance of US Vice President Mike Pence’s upcoming visit to Georgia, foreign affairs issues and Russian aggression on Georgian soil.

The US Vice President’s visit expresses the United States’ continued support to Georgia and their cooperation with us,” Margvelashvili stated.

Margvelashvili called the visit a "key event” in Georgia-US relations.

The President stressed the visit and the Noble Partner exercise revealed that Georgian and US soldiers stood together not only in international peacekeeping missions, but also on the territory of Georgia.  

Margvelashvili said he believed such visits will support Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic 

integration process and help the country carry out very ambitious goals.

The meeting was attended by journalists from BBC, Reuters, Associated Press, Associated France Press, Anadolu Agency, Al Jazeera, Voice of America, Radio Liberty, Кавказский Узел,  ÐÐ¢Ð’,  RTVi and Starvision.
