Students have spent an overnight near the occupation line between Georgia and its Russian occupied region of Tshinvali (South Ossetia).
Under the slogans ‘No to occupation’ and ‘Russia is occupant’, the youth voiced their opposition to Russian occupation forces’ moving the occupation line further into Georgian territory.

The new so-called border sign has been illegally placed in the village of Bershueti in the Gori Municipality on Monday as a result of which several local farmers’ agricultural lands have now partially fallen beyond the occupation line.
This step saw about 10 more hectares of Georgian soil in the heart of the country now become occupied by Russia.
Making a live chain in front of the illegally placed ‘border sign’, participants of the rally raise the Georgian flag and sang national anthem.
The protest rally has been organised via Facebook and aims at raising public awareness over Russia’s illegal activities on the Georgian territories, in particular, so-called creeping occupation.
