Georgia celebrated International Children’s Day by awarding four brave children who saved the lives of others.
Luka Tskhvedadze 9, Giorgi Askilashvili 9, Giorgi Gozalishvili 13 and Mariam Chkhaidze - 11 are the children who saved the lives of others by calling the Georgian Emergency Service, 112.
The Service awarded the children with medals and the title Hero of 112 and celebrated International Children’s Day with them.

Luka Tskhvedadze and Giorgi Askilashvili called 112 and asked for medical assistance for their younger brothers.
Giorgi Gozalishvili called 112 to help an elderly woman who got lost in the street in Shida Kartli region of Georgia.
Mariam Chkhaidze was home alone when she called 112 for medical help when she felt bad because of a high temperature.

After the ceremony the youth learned how the emergency service works and met the 112 dispatchers who had personally helped them in their moments of need.
Every year on International Children’s Day on June 1, children who know how to act in emergency situations will be awarded for bravery.
