Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia congratulated children on international Children’s Day, stating that parents and each member of the state will have to work hard in order to make children feel safe and secure.

Our children have to spend their childhood in a peculiar period and they will always remember it. I would like to congratulate them and their parents on International Children’s day. I call on each member of the state and  all parents, we will have to work hard in order to ensure a secure life for our children. They should be able to name their country when they grow up”, said Gakharia.

Georgia annually celebrates International Children’s Day on June 1 with different theatre shows, film screenings and fun activities for children at several locations, however, no events were planned this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
