Georgian students will now have the opportunity to receive their Master’s and Doctoral degrees at one of Europe’s leading, research-intensive universities in Ireland.
Nino Chelidze, Director of Georgia’s International Education Center (IEC) and Professor Andrew J Deeks, President of University College Dublin (UCD), signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) yesterday. By strengthening cooperation, the two parties aim to support Georgian students interested in pursuing a quality education in Dublin.

The parties believe the MoC will be a step forward in Georgia-Ireland relations in the sector of education, which will give the opportunity to Georgian students to acquire knowledge in fields of their choice and to receive professional experience.
The MoC also set out conditions for students to receive financial aid for those who apply and are accepted for UCD MA or PhD programs via IEC.
Founded 160 years ago, University College Dublin offers six colleges and their constituent schools through which the University delivers excellence in teaching, scholarship and research.
Established in 2014, the International Education Center has been contributing to strengthening the democratic, social and economic development of the country by supporting the enhancement of education quality and preparation of professional human resources through its various programs.
