Georgian and Irish Parliament Speakers Archil Talakvadze and Seán Ó Fearghaíl held a remote meeting earlier today pledging to deepen their countries’ ties.
Speaker Talakvadze wrote in a Facebook post that during the meeting they spoke of strengthening cooperation between Georgia and Ireland, Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, as well as post-pandemic challenges of both countries.
Delighted to talk to my Irish colleague Seán Ó Fearghaíl @SOFearghail_TD, very experienced politician reelected as speaker. Underlined the 25th anniversary of ????????-???????? diplomatic relations & future cooperation. To have friends & be a friend is what makes Georgia strong. pic.twitter.com/siBBcw4GaH
