Machavariani hoped the comic could later serve as a "good basis" for a future animation series on the famous poem.

Written in the 12th Century by Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli, The Knight in the Panther's Skin was considered a definitive work of Georgian literature.

An epic story of romance and heroic deeds, the 6,500-line piece was created during the climax of development of the medieval Kingdom of Georgia.
