The prominent 12th Century poem by iconic Georgian author Shota Rustaveli ‘The Knight in the Panther’s Skin’ has been translated into Bulgarian language, which is the most updated and accurate version.
The translation was made possible through support of Georgia’s Ambassador to Bulgaria Zurab Beridze and Georgian diaspora in Bulgaria.
The task to translate the iconic Georgian text was dedicated to the 850th anniversary of Shota Rustaveli, which will be marked later in 2016.
The translated poem was gifted to Bulgaria’s President, Prime Minister, cabinet members, libraries and education translations in Bulgaria.
Last year a perfect, English language translation of the poem by American Lyn Coffin was published.
