Catholics Patriarch of Georgia Ilia II congratulated the nation on the New Year and appealed to people to do good and kind things.

When we do kind things ten times more happiness return back to us,” Ilia II said.
I wish you happiness. Have you ever thought what the happiness is?  God gives the answer on the question in the 10 Commandments - honor the father and the mother for you to be honoured, do kindness, help the people who are in trouble,” the Patriarch declared.

The country’s spiritual leader highlighted that when a man helps another man he does good to his own soul and life first of all.
