The Ambassador of the United States (US) to Georgia Ian Kelly has hosted the spiritual leader of Georgia at his home in capital Tbilisi.
Ambassador Kelly and his wife Francesca welcomed Catholics Patriarch of Georgia Ilia II to their home yesterday for a special lunch.
The trio exchange views on Georgia-US relations and also spoke about cultural issues, said the US Embassy in Georgia on its official webpage.

During lunch Francesca, a trained opera singer, and Georgia’s spiritual leader discussed the Patriarch’s musical compositions.

The United States (US) will help Georgia be a successful country. These words were spoken by the US Ambassador to Georgia Ian Kelly as he met Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili today. This was the first time the pair met after Kvirikashvili took the post of the Prime Minister on December 30, 2015.
