Elections 2016: Repeat vote is held today

A repeat vote of the 8 Parliamentary Elections of Georgia is taking place place today, Saturday October 22 at several polling stations countrywide where votes were nullified due to incidents on Election Day.

A repeat vote is being held at four polling stations at two election districts. 

These stations are:

  • #48 polling station in Marneuli district in southern Georgia; and
  • #38, #79 and #108 polling stations in Zugdidi district, western Georgia.

Meanwhile in Zugdidi municipality people are also voting to elect Gamgebeli (local authorities) as several local officials had to quit their posts to participate in the elections.

At 8am this morning polling stations at these four locations opened for voters to go to the ballot boxes and cast their votes again. The polling stations will close at 8pm this evening.
