The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) has released a video titled Georgia’s Unresolved Conflict, dedicated to the situation and consequences of the Russia–Georgia war in 2008, two days after the eighth anniversary of the short but brutal war.

The Alliance’s video released yesterday contained emotional interviews with internally displaced people,  their memories about the Russia-Georgia conflict and wishes for the future, as well as comments of experts and the monitors of the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM).

See the video below:

The Russia-Georgia war lasted five days and after the armed conflict  228 Georgian civilians, 170 soldiers and 14 police officers had lost their lives.

The war displaced 192,000 people in Georgia. Many were able to return to their homes after the war but as of May 2014, more than 20,200 people remain displaced.
