Another Georgian fighter has been killed while fighting alongside Ukrainian soldiers to defend Ukraine's land.

Giorgi Janelidze, a Georgian citizen who fought for the Azov Battalion, an all-volunteer paramilitary militia affiliated with the Ukrainian government, was killed in an armed attack near Shirokino, eastern Ukraine yesterday, stated Georgian media.

After Janelidze was killed in action, it is believed Russian-backed separatists continued shelling, so a special operation by Georgian and Ukrainian volunteers took place in order to take the deceased fighter’s body out of the conflict zone.

Meanwhile, Janelidze was first wounded two days ago. Despite a doctor's advice to stay home, the man continued fighting against the separatists.

Along with Janelidze, another Georgian soldier Davit Suleimanashvili was wounded two days ago. Doctors said his health condition was now stable.

This was the seventh reported death of a Georgian citizen resulting from unrest in Ukraine, although an official number has not been released by authorities.
