Georgia is gaining an international reputation as a popular destination, with latest figures showing more visitors are coming here than 12 months ago.
Today the Information-Analytical Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs published data showing the number of visitors who entered Georgian territory in June 2015.
Last month 596,758 people crossed the Georgian border, which was 9.3 percent more than in June 2014.

Last month the most visitors came from Turkey followed by Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia then Ukraine.
A positive trend was also retained from European Union (EU) countries, where the most visitors came from Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Germany, Latvia and the Netherlands.
From middle Asian Countries, most guests came from Uzbekistan last month followed by Kazakhstan, while the leaders among Eastern European countries were Belarus then Moldova.
Meanwhile in the first six months of the year Georgia welcomed more than 2.3 million visitors.
Specifically, the Ministry said 2,332,303 visitors had crossed the Georgian border between January 1 and June 30, which was 3.5 percent more than last year’s corresponding figures.
