Delegation from the Netherlands will visit Georgia

The Prime Ministers have discussed the Ukraine crisis as well.

An official delegation from the Netherlands will visit Georgia this year in a bid to strengthen relations between the two nations.

The Georgian Government's Administration announced a trade mission from the Netherlands will visit Georgia in 2015.

Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte met at the World Economic Forum 2015 in Davos, Switzerland this week and discussed the opportunities to strengthen cooperation in the fields of economy, culture and education.

Trade turnover between Georgia and the Netherlands increased by 21.5 percent in 2014 and amounted to $158 million USD (about 312 million GEL). With this number the Netherlands takes the top spot of countries who invest in Georgia.

In Davos the Prime Ministers discussed the Ukraine crisis as well.

Garibashvili expressed his gratitude to Rutte for supporting Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as the Dutch observers’ participation in the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia.
