Georgia’s renowned kickboxer Giga Chikadze has delivered an astonishing victory at the world’s top kickboxing event in San Diego, California.

Chikadze’s debut at the GLORY World Series superfight in the lightweight category resulted in his impressive victory over Canadian Ken Tran, by technical knockout.

"In his first appearance for GLORY, Chikadze established himself as one of the best kickers in the entire organisation,” stated GLORY on its website.

The Georgian fighter outfought his opponent and performed several powerful kicks, including axe-kicks and rolling somersault kicks. At the end of his bout, his aggressive attacks ended in a technical knockout, after Tran was knocked down and unable to get back up.

GLORY said in terms of making an impact in the division, "it doesn’t get much better than Chikadze’s performance”.

After the fight Chikadze said he was happy and motivated to earn more GLORY victories.

"I am really happy. I have waited a long time for this opportunity. I got notice of this fight six days ago; Master Rafael called me about 6am to tell me. It was the best wakeup call I could have had. Now I am here I am going to show some really good fights, you will see,” he said.
