Georgian figure skater Elene Gedevanishvili has ended her Sochi Winter Olympics campaign after gaining 19th place in the prestigious competition.
After performing in the second day of the Ladies Free Skating yesterday, Gedevanishvili received 92.45 points from the jury. Her total score after two days of competition was 147.15 points.
For her second performance, the Georgian athlete gained 53.60 points for her program components and 39.85 points for her technical elements.
Despite Gedevanishvili skidding off the ice and falling over at the beginning of her routine, her performance was assessed as beautiful.
"You, Miss, are definition of perfection,” her fans wrote on Twitter.
After performing in her first short program on February 19, Gedevanishvili was ranked 17th with a score of 54.70.
She was one of 30 skaters to compete on day one - of which only 20 were allowed to continue forward to participate in the free program the next day.
The 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics are the third Games Gedevanishvili has attended.
