Georgia's Prime Minister rubbed shoulders with world leaders at the annual Munich Security Conference in Germany.
Bilateral cooperation in defence and security was discussed at a meeting between PM Irakli Garibashvili and U.S. Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel at the annual event.
The two leaders also highlighted Georgia’s contribution to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission in Afghanistan.
Whithin the conference, Garibashvili also met Serbian Prime Minister Ivica DaÄiÄ, President of Croatia Ivo JosipoviÄ and Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev. He also met with Slovakia's Foreign Minister Miroslav LajÄák, OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier, Prime Minister of Slovenia Alenka Bratušek and a U.S. congressional delegation led by Senator John McCain.
The Security Conference opened in Munich yesterday.
The Georgian PM is accompanied on the international trip by Defence Minister Irakli Alasania and Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze.
Garibashvili is expected to give a speech at the conference later tonight.
