Defence and security were discussed when Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with the United Kingdom’s Defence Minister Philip Hammond at the Munich Security Conference.
The politicians discussed the Georgian-British cooperation in the fields of defence and security.
They talked about Georgia’s progress on its way to joining NATO.
Georgia’s contribution to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan was also highlighted during the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Alasania and foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze.
