More than a hundred of Ukraine’s youngest citizens are being offered the chance to escape the tension in their home country and enjoy a holiday in Georgia.

About 130 children affected by the crisis in Ukraine will spend two weeks in Georgia to rest, relax and enjoy the sights and culture Georgia has to offer.

The group will arrive in Georgia on September 30 and stay here for two weeks. They will stay at Future Camp in Georgia’s coastal resort Anaklia area.

The idea came from Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and was received fondly by the Ukrainian government.

With about two weeks until the Ukrainian youth arrive in Georgia, the Office of the State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issue said it was working hard to organise the project and ensure everything went smoothly.

Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs are also taking part in the project’s implementation.

The Georgian Government has already sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine, worth more than one million GEL. The aid consisted of vital medicines, which consisted of basic first aid items, diabetes medications and vaccines for children.
