Green Tree Python arrives at Tbilisi Zoo

A Green Python Morelia Viridis, also known as a Dragon-like green snake has been welcomed to Tbilisi Zoo.

The snake is the second new resident to call Tbilisi Zoo home, following the birth of a zebra foal last weekend.

The Green Tree Python Morelia Viridis can be found in Papua New Guinea, islands in Indonesia, and Cape York Peninsula in Australia.

Tbilisi Zoo is home to a variety of venomous snakes, including a Python and Cobra, and also a Boa constrictor, which squeezes its prey to death.

At Tbilisi Zoo visitors can also see Iguana and Varanus lizards.
