PM, new Serbian Ambassador discuss cooperation prospects

Relations between Georgia and Serbia and the prospects of cooperation were discussed on Friday in a meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Tatjana Panajotović Cvetković, the newly appointed Ambassador of Serbia in Georgia.

Garibashvili congratulated Cvetković on her appointment and wished her “success” in her work, the Government Administration said. 

The officials expressed their hope that the work of the Ambassador would contribute to the “further” strengthening of “friendly” relations between the two states.

The sides also emphasised the importance of Serbia’s “unwavering support” for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the policy of the non-recognition of Georgia's Russian-occupied territories.

Garibashvili noted that his Government maintained its “firm position” on Serbia's territorial integrity.
