Police seize $415,000 worth of hashish hidden in Buddha mini-sculptures

The Georgian Interior Ministry says the detainee bought drugs in Nepal and returned to Georgia via Germany.

The Georgian Interior Ministry, with the cooperation of German law enforcers, has detained a 26-year-old Georgian citizen who brought 9 kg of hashish into Georgia.

The Interior Ministry says that the value of the drugs seized in Tbilisi yesterday is $415,000 and it was allegedly bought in Nepal and brought to Georgia via Germany.

The male individual, who was only identified as G.K., hid the drugs in sculptures of the Buddha. The detainee has been charged with drug dealing in large quantities.
