More than 500 representatives of 65 airline companies and 250 airports are visiting Georgia’s capital city of Tbilisi to participate in the European Aviation Forum, CONNECT 2018.
Tbilisi is hosting the large-scale event from February 20-22.
During these three days the delegates will discuss existing and expected challenges in the field of air traffic, and will provide grounds for cooperation between airlines and airports for new flights.
The air companies including Royal Dutch Airlines, Gulf Air, Wizz Air, Ryanair, Ukraine International Airlines, Turkish Airlines, and many others have already been registered for participation in the European Aviation Forum.
Georgia’s Economy Minister Dimitry Kumsishvili announced that it is an honour for Georgia to host the CONNECT 2018 forum.
Kumsishvili said one of the most important priorities of the government is the development of the Georgian air market.
He stated that growing indicators and the diversification of the aviation market in recent years is the result of the government’s successful and coordinated work.
