Georgian Shooter Nino Salukvadze becomes two-time Guinness World Record holder

Three-time Olympic medal-winning shooter Nino Salukvadze on Monday became a two-time Guinness World Record holder for competing in the most consecutive Olympic Games and for being the female athlete with the most Olympic appearances.

With her participation in the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, Salukvadze earned recognition after becoming the first female competitor in the history of Olympics to qualify for 10 consecutive editions of the Games since 1988, with the athlete also earning medals in three events at different times. She also became the first Georgian Olympian to earn the title.

The Guinness certificates and a medal were presented by David Begiashvili, the President of the Georgian Records Federation, in an award ceremony held at the Georgian Olympic Museum.

The ceremony was also attended by Leri Khabelov, the Head of the Georgian National Olympic Committee, and Sports Minister Shalva Gogoladze, aw well as officials from the Ministry, the Georgian Sports Council, representatives from the country’s Shooting Federation, athletes, family members of Salukvadze, media, and other invited guests.
