Nino Enukidze, the Deputy Economy Minister of Georgia, on Tuesday said the 2024 annual plan of privatisation of state property across the country had been fulfilled by 100 percent, contributing over ₾236 million ($83.40mln) to the state budget.
Over the past year, the National Agency of State Property under the Ministry announced more than 1,400 electronic auctions, resulting in the privatisation of over 600 properties”, Enukidze said.
Active efforts to privatise state property will continue in 2025, and we aim to achieve full implementation of the plan”, she added.
The Ministry said the process of privatising state property was “transparent and accessible to all”, while the body added interested parties could participate in electronic auctions “without facing bureaucratic hurdles” and “quickly become an owner of a state asset”.
The Ministry said the Agency would continue its efforts to accelerate privatisation by offering various real estate options that the body said were “attractive for investment” to the private sector.
