Nino Enukidze, the Deputy Economy Minister of Georgia, on Tuesday said the ongoing effort of privatisation of state property across the country had exceeded planned figures by 216 percent in the third quarter of the year, contributing over ₾82 million ($29.98mln) to the state budget.
She credited the result to the "active collaboration” between the National Agency of State Property and the domestic business sector.
Enukidze highlighted the success of 337 electronic auctions for assets, with the majority achieving “favourable” outcomes.
The Deputy Minister added the privatisation plan for all three quarters had been exceeded “by a significant margin”, resulting in the mobilisation of over ₾180 million ($65.82mln) in the central budget, surpassing the planned ₾110 million ($40.22mln) for the nine-month period.
Enukidze expressed the Ministry's commitment to continuing “intensive collaboration” with the business sector to “achieve the best possible year-end results”.
