Lawrence Meredith, the European Union Ambassador to New Zealand, on Wednesday highlighted his meeting with Beka Dvali, the Georgian Ambassador to Australia, New Zealand and Pacific, with the latter's first official visit to the country.
In his social media post, Meredith noted the officials had found “common ground on values that extend from Europe across the Pacific”, and added he was “committed” to supporting Georgia on its European integration path.

On his part, Dvali said it was an “absolute honour” to meet Meredith during his visit to Wellington.

He added Georgia was “firmly advancing” on its EU integration path and valued the “strong support across the globe of its European friends and partners”.
