The departure terminal of Tbilisi International Airport in the Georgian capital city has been expanded, TAV Georgia, the company operating Tbilisi and Batumi airports, said on Friday.
The company said it invested ₾2.20 million ($828,698) to implement the “large-scale” project and create “additional comfort” for passengers, increase the capacity of the airport and reduce queues.
The works added space to the terminal with new passport control, while the airline security check area and business lounge were expanded.
There will also be a FastTrack corridor for special needs and business class passengers - a special service allowing passengers to pass all formalities at the Airport, in the minimum time and with maximum comfort, without long queues”, the company said.
It added the works were completed in “full compliance” with safety regulations.
