Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday wished “peace, kindness and joy” to citizens celebrating Christmas on December 25.
Kobakhidze posted the festive message on social media for those using the Gregorian calendar for the date, as most of the religious followers in the country use January 7, based on the Julian calendar followed by the Orthodox Church in its celebrations instead.
In the comments, the PM stressed the day was a “symbol of love and a bright future for all Christians”.
