Georgia's Central Election Commission has launched another stage of institutional development to improve the quality of its activities and services, the CEC said on Tuesday.
The introduction of electronic election technologies, used during the October parliamentary elections for the first time, has identified “new requirements” and “specific activities” in terms of the structural arrangement, the Commission pointed out, adding it was required to respond to existing challenges and the needs, enhance operational efficiency and optimise the structure of the institution.
As part of a “rational and efficiency-oriented process”, the administration will modernise the work process to ensure the organisation of the 2025 self-government and all subsequent general elections “at a higher level”, the CEC noted and added the election administration was constantly engaged in institutional strengthening and development.
