Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday claimed establishing peace in the region would “only benefit the European Union and its economic progress and development”.

In his interview with the Georgian Public Broadcaster, Kobakhidze  stressed the “main victim” of the ongoing war in Ukraine and Russia’s military aggression after the main participants, was the bloc, which had received a “new migration crisis” and “severe economic developments” along with many countries facing “serious economic problems, a very low growth rate and an economic downturn”.

The PM also pointed out that the result of the United States presidential election, which was held last Tuesday, would also be “very beneficial” for the EU, adding leaders of the bloc “should be more focused on establishing healthy relations” with the new Government of the US .
