Georgian tennis player Nikoloz Basilashvili on Sunday won the Seoul Open Challenger tournament in South Korea.
In the final, Basilashvili defeated his Japanese opponent Taro Daniel, who was seeded number one in the tournament, in two sets with a score of 7:5 and 6:4.
Before the final match, the Georgian tennis player defeated French Terence Atmane, Taiwanese Wu Tung-lin and Japanese Hiroki Moriya at the tournament.
The victory has promoted Basilashvili to 215th place in the ranking of professional men’s tennis players, who held 16th place at the Association of Tennis Professionals classification, by winning five high-category tournaments.
