A new "international-standard" tennis complex has been launched in Ozurgeti, a city in the western Georgian region of Guria, the Ministry of Infrastructure said on Thursday.

The complex, constructed as part of the Pilot Integrated Regional Development Programme, cost ₾2.27 million ($844,244) and includes three open tennis courts with spectator stands, an administrative building, auxiliary structures and a parking area.

During the construction of the complex, road, drainage systems and other engineering infrastructure were also provided. The new tennis courts meet all requirements and are important for both professional athletes and the younger generation [...]”, Minister Irakli Karseladze said.

The Ministry also said the complex, co-financed by the local budget and the European Union, was adapted for individuals with all abilities.
