Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Saturday congratulated his Georgian counterpart Irakli Kobakhidze and the ruling Georgian Dream party on their “overwhelming victory” in the parliamentary elections.
Orban’s comments followed an exit poll commissioned by Imedi TV, which on Saturday indicated the ruling party was set to receive 56.1 percent of votes in the elections.
Congratulations to Irakli Kobakhidze and the Georgian Dream party on their overwhelming victory in the parliamentary elections today”, Orbán said in a social media message.
He further added the “people of Georgia know what is best for their country, and made their voice heard today”.
