Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Honorary Chair and founder of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Saturday pledged the country would be “among the ranks of the most successful nations over the next four years”, as exit poll results for the parliamentary elections by the Tbilisi-based Georgian Opinion Research Business International put the GD at 56.1 percent of the vote.
Ivanishvili assured the public the Government would “appreciate the trust placed in us”, while claiming it was “rare worldwide for the same party to achieve such results over 12 years, especially in such difficult circumstances”.
While addressing supporters, the Honorary Chair further said the team making up the party was the “best part of our society”.
