Georgian PM inspects residential complex built for IDPs in Kutaisi

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Saturday inspected the ongoing construction works of a residential complex intended to provide housing for 720 internally displaced families in the country’s western city of Kutaisi.

Kobakhidze, along with Mikheil Sarjveladze, the Minister of IDPs from Occupied Territories, Labour, Health, and Social Affairs, visited the site of the residential complex, where a stadium, children's playground, and fitness space were to be arranged, the Government Administration said.

The infrastructure project of three 12-storey buildings, built with a construction budget of over ₾77 million ($28mln), is being implemented by the construction company Anagi.

The construction of residential buildings for IDPs is also underway in the capital city of Tbilisi and other cities - Rustavi, Borjomi, and Zugdidi, for a total of 13,000 internally displaced families to receive dwellings.
