Tbilisi hosts first National Forum of youth advisory councils

Georgia’s capital Tbilisi hosted the first National Forum of youth advisory councils, an event organised to promote participation of young citizens in decision-making and develop the leadership potential of young leaders in various regions of the country, between Sunday and Monday, the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth said.

The Forum also aimed to strengthen cooperation between youth advisory councils, municipal representatives, and central Government bodies working on youth-related issues, and foster long-term partnerships and joint initiatives.

It involved members of youth advisory councils from across Georgia and over 200 young people from 31 municipalities.

Organised by the Youth Agency in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund and the Association of Youth Advisory Councils, the gathering was run under the Ministry's aegis.
