People PR, a Polish marketing company contracted by the National Wine agency of Georgia, on Sunday said 2024 was a “very good year for Georgian wine” and highlighted increasing exports of the product to Poland during a tour hosting Polish wine professionals in Georgia.

“We brought a group of high-level importers who are interested in Georgian wine. They are receiving more and more information, studying the potential of Georgian wine for Poland, which is a strategic market for Georgia. I think that Georgian wine has a great potential for sales growth in the Polish market”, Kamila Vardin-Kopera, the CEO of People PR said about a tour organised by the Agency and the marketing company to promote exports to Poland.

Tour participants visited Georgian wine-producing companies in the eastern Kakheti region, where they were introduced to local winemaking technology and Georgian wines. A wine tasting event later featured a variety of wines from 20 Georgian producers in capital Tbilisi. The companies received assessments and recommendations from the Polish professionals.

Poland is one of the “strategic markets” for Georgian wine and has been consistently ranked among the top five wine-exporting countries for Georgia, the agency said.

The country has seen promotional campaigns with the financial and organisational support of the Agency. Between January and September of this year, 4.5 million litres of wine were exported from Georgia to Poland in a 12 percent year-on-year increase.
