The National Tourism Administration of Georgia, 10 private companies and state organisations participated in TTG Rimini, an international tourism exhibition hosted in Italy between Wednesday and Friday, to showcase the country’s tourism offerings and establish partnerships with foreign companies, the GNTA said on Friday.

Maia Omiadze, the Head of the Administration, emphasised the significance of the presence at the exhibition.

We have meetings with marketing companies as we try to establish relations with representatives of new platforms to increase awareness of Georgia in Italy. The countries of the European Union are a strategic market. Therefore, such exhibitions and meetings are very important for the promotion of Georgia”, Omiadze said.

Irakli Kabulashvili, a representative of the travel company Omnes Tour, expressed optimism about the potential impact of the exhibition.

In the post-pandemic period, tourist flows from Italy to Georgia are slowly returning to the 2019 level. We have high hopes that 2025 will be a turning point. It is very exciting that additional flights are being scheduled from Italy, which will undoubtedly help attract more tourists from the country to Georgia”, he said.

With approximately 70,000 visitors attending the exhibition, the Georgian stand was also visited by Natalia Kordzaia, the Consul General of Georgia in Milan and Northern Italy.
