Georgian Parliament official, Italian Ambassador discuss bilateral parliamentary relations

Parliamentary relations between Georgia and Italy and other topics were discussed by Nikoloz Samkharadze, the Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Georgian Parliament and Massimiliano D'Antuono, the Italian Ambassador to the country on Tuesday, the Parliament said.

The sides also reviewed the Georgian Government’s election programme, the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for October 26, pre-election developments and campaigning in the country.

The Parliament added the meeting also discussed the current security environment in Georgia and in Europe.

The existing “difficult” situation in Georgia’s Russian-occupied regions were also reviewed.
