Multifunctional sports complex unveiled in eastern town of Tsnori

The construction of a multifunctional sports complex in the eastern Georgian town of Tsnori, funded with ₾2.3 million ($840,000) from the state budget, has been completed, providing sports and recreational opportunities for residents of the town and surrounding villages, the Ministry of Infrastructure said on Monday.

Inspecting the new facility, Minister Irakli Karseladze said it would “serve to raise many future champions”.

[This] is not only a sports facility for the town, but also a new centre of attraction, where adolescents and professionals will have the opportunity to train under decent conditions. The complex provides spaces for various types of sports and meets all modern standards”, he said.

The sports complex features a combined indoor football space, a basketball court and a volleyball pitch of international standards, complete with stands that can accommodate up to 150 spectators.

Additionally, the facility includes a multifunctional space for training and wrestling, along with men's and women's locker rooms and showers, administration, coaches, referees, and medical rooms.

The Ministry said the complex was fully adapted for people with disabilities and equipped with central heating and cooling systems.

Minister Karseladze also highlighted other infrastructural projects in the town, including for a new park and a kindergarten that will serve 180 children.
