Georgian PM visits Resurrection Church under construction in Gori

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Sunday visited the Church of the Resurrection, being in the process of construction, in Gori in the country's Shida Kartli region.

Hosted by the Metropolitan of Gori and Ateni, Andria Gvazava, the PM got acquainted with the ongoing construction works of the church, the Government Administration said.

The Metropolitan highlighted “the special importance” of the financial support of the Charity Fund Cartu, as a result of which the dome, arches and the final phase of the construction process were completed, the Administration said, adding the head of the Government promised the cleric the state’s support in the process.
