The Convention and Exhibition Bureau of the Georgian National Tourism Administration showcased the country’s business tourism attractions at the international forum m&i Lisbon, held this week in the Portuguese capital, the national body said on Friday.
The Bureau, representing member companies, had the opportunity to engage with tourism businesses from around the world.
During the event, the Bureau engaged in up to 40 meetings with “key” international companies and clients, introducing them to the business tourism sector in Georgia.
Foreign companies learned about the opportunities the country offers for hosting large-scale events, forums, congresses, and conferences”, the GNTA said.
m&i Lisbon saw over 150 European companies in attendance during the four-day forum.
The Georgian capital city of Tbilisi also hosted the forum this summer, which was attended by 83 local and international companies offering tourist services and brought together participants for 40 guaranteed meetings over three days in a B2B format in the city.
